Vindico Medical Education Celebrates Publication in Clinical Ophthalmology Journal
August 15, 2025
Thorofare, NJ – Vindico Medical Education, A Wyanoke Group Company, is proud to announce their most recent publication in Clinical Ophthalmology titled “Discordance Among Patients and Ophthalmologists Regarding the Burden of Intravitreal Injections.”
This article aims to determine how closely the perceptions of patients with neovascular age-related macular degeneration or diabetic macular edema align with clinician perceptions. The data were gathered from a June 2024 survey of 101 patients as well as 100 ophthalmologists who treat these conditions. Find it here.
The paper was coauthored by Vindico team members Katie Robinson, PhD; Simon J. Cooper, PhD; Sasha Persaud, PharmD; and Jennifer Fredrick, PharmD; in collaboration with Rishi Singh, MD, and made possible by an educational grant from Regeneron.
“This publication highlights some important differences between how anti-VEGF injections are perceived among patients versus clinicians,” said Katie Robinson, PhD; Vice President, Instructional Design and Analytics. “Whenever such discordance is observed, continuing education can be used to address it, thus improving patient care. Ongoing, accredited education is underway to do just that.”
